The diesel flowmeter is an important high-precision instrument. In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement of the diesel flowmeter, the diesel flowmeter must be correctly selected and installed. Below we list the installation technical requirements of the diesel flowmeter for reference!
1. Requirements for external environment:
The diesel flowmeter should be installed indoors. When it must be installed outdoors, it must be protected from sun, rain and lightning to avoid affecting its service life.
2. Requirements for installation and welding:
The user is equipped with another pair of standard flanges welded on the front and rear pipes. Welding with flowmeter is not allowed! Before installing the diesel flowmeter, the welding slag and other dirt in the pipeline should be strictly removed. It is better to use the pipeline with equal diameter (or bypass pipe) instead of the diesel flowmeter to purge the pipeline. To ensure that the flowmeter is not damaged during use, the sealing gasket between flanges shall not be recessed into the pipeline when installing the flowmeter.
3. Requirements for straight pipe section:
The diesel flowmeter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (the pipeline inclination is within 50). During installation, the axis of the diesel flowmeter should be concentric with the pipeline axis, and the flow direction should be consistent. The length of the upstream pipeline of the meter should be no less than 2D equal diameter straight pipe section. If the installation site allows, it is recommended that the upstream straight pipe section is 20D, and the downstream straight pipe section is 5D.
4. Requirements for bypass pipe:
In order to ensure that the normal use of the medium is not affected during the maintenance of the flow meter, cut-off valves (stop valves) shall be installed on the front and rear pipes of the diesel flow meter, and bypass pipes shall be installed at the same time. The flow control valve shall be installed at the downstream of the flowmeter. When the flowmeter is used, the stop valve installed at the upstream must be fully opened to avoid unstable flow of the upstream part of the fluid.
5. Requirements for impurities in the medium:
In order to ensure the service life of the flowmeter, a filter should be installed in front of the straight pipe section of the diesel flowmeter.
6. Installation site:
The diesel flowmeter shall be installed in a place that is convenient for maintenance and free from strong electromagnetic interference and thermal radiation. The flowmeter shall be reliably grounded and cannot be shared with the ground wire of the strong current system.
7. When the diesel flowmeter is put into operation, the front valve shall be opened first, and then the rear valve, to prevent the turbine from being damaged by the instantaneous air impact.
